Maple Street Grooming is a small shop run by one groomer who takes one dog at a time. No rush, no crowd, and no apologies needed for a dog who trembles at the door. We are used to them.

Every dog is different, so treat these as starting points. We look at your dog first and tell you the price before we pick up a brush.
A warm bath with a shampoo chosen for your dog's coat, a gentle towel-dry and blow-dry, a full brush-out and a nail trim. Dogs who just need to feel like themselves again — and the easiest first visit for a nervous one. Larger dogs and heavy coats are quoted when we see your dog.

A proper brush with dog toothpaste, all the way to the back molars. Easy to add on to a bath or a groom, and kinder to a dog than a dental chew.

One dog at a time
Start to finish, never split.
A lot of dogs get handed off to a stranger, dried by a loud machine and sent home wired. That is a hard day for them. Here it goes differently: your dog gets the room, the time it takes, and someone who is in no hurry at all.
Some dogs need five minutes of sitting on the floor before anything begins. That is a fine way to start.
Scared of the dryer. Hates having his paws touched. Grumpy with strangers. None of it is a problem — it is instructions.
The goal is not just a neat coat. It is a dog who walks out tired in the good way and is not afraid to come back.
Nearly every nervous dog I see is not a difficult dog — it is a dog who has had a rushed groom before. So we slow it all down: quiet voices, warm water, breaks when they need one, and no wrestling matches over a paw.

Yes — that is a big part of what this shop is for. Tell us in the booking notes what sets them off: the dryer, the clippers, having their paws handled, other dogs. We build extra time into the visit, start slowly, and take breaks when your dog asks for one. If the first visit is only a bath and a brush-out because that is all they can manage, that still counts as a good visit. We get a little further next time.
Baths start at $40 and full grooms at $65. Where a dog lands depends on size, coat length and how matted the coat is — matted hair takes real time to work through gently. We look at your dog before anything starts and tell you the price then, so there is never a surprise at the counter.
Yes. We take one dog at a time, so everything runs on booked times. Send a request through the booking form or call the shop, and we will confirm a day and a time with you.
A bath is a warm wash, a gentle dry, a full brush-out and a nail trim. A full groom is all of that plus a haircut shaped to your dog. If your dog's coat is short and you just want them clean and comfortable, a bath is usually the right call. If they are shaggy, or you want a tidier shape, book the groom.
Absolutely. Nail trims are $15 and teeth brushing is $10, and both can be booked on their own or added to a bath or groom. Plenty of dogs start with just a nail trim so they can get used to the place first.
It depends on the dog, the coat and what you have booked — and we would rather give you an honest range than a number we have to hurry to hit. When we confirm your appointment we will tell you roughly how long to allow, and we will never rush a dog to make a time.
Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to 5. We are closed Sunday and Monday. If you call while we are mid-groom, leave a message and we will get back to you between dogs.
